What does the 2% platform fee cover?

The 2% fee is Harbor Commerce's platform fee on every transaction processed through your account. This applies to both Starter and Growth plans and is in addition to standard Stripe processing fees. It covers the full platform infrastructure — billing automation, payment processing, and all plan-specific features.

Do I need a Stripe account?

Yes. Harbor Commerce uses Stripe Connect for all payment processing. During onboarding, you will complete Stripe Connect Express setup to enable payments and payouts for your platform.

What's the difference between the plans?

Both plans include the core billing engine and 2% platform fee. Starter ($10/mo) gives you up to 100 customers with essential billing features. Growth ($49/mo) unlocks everything — unlimited customers, dunning, customer portal, product catalog, webhooks, API keys, audit logs, and more.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. You can upgrade from Starter to Growth at any time. Your data and configuration carry over seamlessly. Downgrading is also supported if your needs change.

What payment methods are supported?

Harbor Commerce supports all payment methods available through Stripe, including credit and debit cards, ACH transfers, and local payment methods depending on your region and Stripe account configuration.

Are there any other fees?

Beyond the monthly plan fee and 2% platform fee, the only additional cost is standard Stripe processing (2.9% + 30¢ per card transaction). There are no setup fees, hidden charges, or long-term contracts.
